Psychosocial support for people living with HIV

The HIV Berodung service offers psychosocial support to people living with HIV or viral hepatitis, as well as to people affected by sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Psychosocial support can be provided in the language of your choice: French, Luxembourgish, German, English, and other languages upon prior request.

Psychological Support

The service’s psychologists provide a confidential space for psychological support, counselling, and guidance, enabling individuals to:

Supporting people living with HIV, viral hepatitis or an STI, helping them improve their well-being and better cope with their situation.

Providing a confidential space for HIV-negative people facing questions or situations related to HIV, viral hepatitis and STIs.

Providing information, support with decision-making and referrals to specialised services when necessary.

Social support

The social workers of the HIV Berodung service are responsible for:

Restore social rights

Facilitate access to HIV and HCV treatment as a resident of Luxembourg.

Support you with administrative procedures related to access to healthcare and treatment in Luxembourg.

If necessary, refer you to the relevant institutions in Luxembourg or neighbouring countries.
