For the first time, the Luxembourg Red Cross is shaking up traditional awareness-raising methods by launching “Les Traversées”: a unique theatrical performance introducing audiences to the realities of war and the hope brought by humanitarian action.
This immersive show, performed by renowned artists, takes you on a journey through time and human history, through the ravages of war and the power of solidarity. In a performance space covering more than 250 m², you will be guided to meet characters, share their stories and feel the raw emotion of the narratives brought to life by the actors.
This experience questions human duality: capable of both the worst and the best. Through facts, testimonies and situations inspired by real events, mixed with characters and symbols from Greek tragedy, it highlights the birth of international humanitarian law and the founding values of the Red Cross: humanity, solidarity and respect for human dignity.
From Solferino to the Trojan War, between history and fiction, you will pass through scenes where soldiers, nurses, survivors and witnesses intersect to question what, throughout the centuries, makes us human.
Designed by Renata Neskovska in collaboration with the Luxembourg Red Cross Humanitarian Aid, this immersive creation invites you to feel, reflect and hope: because even in chaos, humanity remains possible.
