Wait no longer and become a camp leador at the Youth Red Cross summer camps.
This first phase allows participants to learn the basics of youth work and prepare for their first experience in the field. Participants must be at least 15 years old.
To become an Assistant Group Leader, you must participate in:
– 1 Meet & Greet information session
– 3 training weekends
– 1 week of Assistant Group Leader training
– 1 summer camp
This training lasts at least 150 hours.
This second phase deepens knowledge in animation, safety, group dynamics, conflict management, creativity and responsibility. It is accessible after obtaining the B certificate and requires participants to be at least 16 years old.
To become a Group Leader, you must participate in:
– 3 training weekends
– 1 week of Group Leader training (To do this, you must have participated in at least 2 camps.)
– 1 summer camp
This training lasts at least 150 hours.
This training course requires you to be at least 18 years old. It lasts at least 25 hours. You can also take part in this specialisation without an accomplished Certificate C and receive the Certificate D qualification once you have completed your Certificate C.
To become a Specialised Group Leader, you must take part in one of the two options:
2 weekends of training for the Certificate D:
– 1 weekend of team building training
– 1 weekend of stress management training
Rescue team Specialisation:
– Completion of a first aid course
– 8-hour specialisation in first aid
– Preparation and delivery of a workshop
A training weekend generally lasts from Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. to Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Overnight accommodation on site is mandatory (in accordance with the Grand Ducal Regulation of 22 June 2011 amending the Grand Ducal Regulation of 9 January 2009 on youth).
A training weekend costs €25, all inclusive.
A training week costs €150, all inclusive.
Training courses are conducted in Luxembourgish. It is necessary to understand and speak this language in order to participate.
