As a beneficiary of a Luxembourg Red Cross service, you are required to communicate personal data to us. The Luxembourg Red Cross attaches great importance to respecting your private life and protecting your personal data. This notice is intended to inform you of the use made of the personal data we collect, as well as the rights you have.

WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?

Personal data is collected and processed by the Migrants and Refugees Service of the Luxembourg Red Cross to ensure the initial reception of migrants, the accommodation, and the supervision of applicants for international protection. Personal data is also processed for the purposes of restoring family ties where necessary, managing activities organised by the service, and for statistical purposes.

Personal data is processed based on the public interest mission pursued by the Luxembourg Red Cross, except for the organisation of activities and the compilation of statistics, which are based on the legitimate interest of the entity. The processing of data of categories is necessary for reasons of important public interest and for the health and social care of the beneficiaries of the service.

WHAT TYPES OF DATA ARE COLLECTED?

In accordance with the law, the Luxembourg Red Cross only collects the data necessary for the execution of its missions. The types of data collected are mainly:

Your data is kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, and for a maximum of 3 years from the closure of the follow-up file.

WITH WHOM IS YOUR DATA SHARED?

Your data is treated confidentially and is only shared with third parties when necessary and in accordance with the law. These third parties may include other services of the Luxembourg Red Cross to ensure coordination and continuity of care, competent authorities, professionals involved in your care, as well as service providers, in the case of IT outsourcing. In the latter case, we ensure that your data is stored and processed in the European Union.
