The Humanitarian Aid of the Luxembourg Red Cross operates mainly in sub-Saharan Africa so that every day, vulnerable people are protected, live with dignity and keep or regain their autonomy.
In Luxembourg, we work on raising awareness of humanitarian law among young people. Our aim is to encourage responsible behavior in order to contribute to a fairer world.
As part of the global family of 192 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, our experts in Luxembourg and in the countries of operation work tirelessly to ensure concrete and impactful actions for women and children, while optimizing financial resources.

Our teams work in the most dangerous and remote areas. As amember of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which subscribes to the principles of neutrality, independence and impartiality, we operate in conflict zones where other organizations do not have access. In some areas, such as the Lake Chad region, we are very often the only ones able to provide assistance. Our presence is crucial for thousands of women and children.
Being part of this large global network also allows us to intervene effectively in emergencies such as natural disasters, where every minute counts, and where women, children and vulnerable people are the first victims.
We provide immediate support and specialize in the protection of women and children, the fight against sexual violence against women, the fight against climate change and for the education and dignity of children.

For the last century, we have been fortunate to have generations of committed donors and volunteers who have placed their trust in us. Without you, we could not change the lives of hundreds of people every day. Without you, Humanitarian Aid would not exist.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your commitment and your generosity. Thanks to you, we can and will continue our humanitarian work and make life more decent and independent for families.
