On this World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, the Luxembourg Red Cross is particularly proud to celebrate the work of our volunteers and employees, who do their utmost to support the communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, it’s more important than ever. We work hard to help vulnerable people protect themselves from COVID-19, and we continue to provide many other services necessary to keep people safe and healthy.
The volunteers and employees of the Luxembourg Red Cross have been active since the detection of the coronavirus, helping people to prepare, disseminating vital health information to prevent the spread of the disease and trying to limit its consequences on the most vulnerable people.
These programs were carried out as part of the activities for which the Luxembourg Red Cross is known. Throughout the year, we reach out to our beneficiaries to help them with different services adapted to their needs, such as social grocery stores, help and care, support for adolescents and young adults in the start-up phase of their independent lives or the support of families in difficulty.
