Thanks to the support of the European Union the Luxembourg Red Cross distributed and installed 1.000 emergency shelters at the Djori Kolo site located near Diffa, in Niger, for people fleeing violence from neighboring Nigeria.
This week, our teams visited the Djori Kolo site to assess the aging of these shelters, built at the very beginning of last summer. The joint visit of the head of mission of the Luxembourg Red Cross, the president of the regional branch of the Niger Red Cross, the project coordinator and the technical advisor also aimed at verifying that our beneficiaries were using the shelters and latrines provided adequately.
