European Testing Week: an exceptional week to encourage people to get tested!

20 November 2023

Every year, new HIV infections are recorded in Luxembourg. That’s why screening remains an essential preventive measure, eliminating uncertainty and, if an infection is detected, ensuring early access to treatment.

The Red Cross HIV Berodung service offers regular screening sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm at 94 boulevard Général Patton in Luxembourg.

To celebrate European Testing Week, a free, anonymous HIV and syphilis screening service is being organised from 9pm to 11pm at the Letz Boy bar, 60 Grand Rue, Luxembourg City.

The aim of this initiative is to encourage the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

During this special week, several partners involved in this initiative, such as the Centre LGBTIQ+ CIGALE, the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, the Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrich, the Laboratoire National de Santé, the Bionext laboratory network, the Keterthill network, as well as the Laboratoires réunis, are offering simplified and free access to screening.

Help us make this European Testing Week a highlight for prevention and raising awareness of HIV and sexually transmitted infections!
