On 5 May, the children and staff at our Centre socio-thérapeutique (CST) in Kautenbach received a very special visit: H.R.H. the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg came to meet them – with great warmth and interest.
Welcomed by the children, their carers and members of the Luxembourg Red Cross management team, the Grand Duchess was shown around the facility and given an insight into the day-to-day work with the children. Particularly enjoyable was the personal interview and question-and-answer session with three children in the classroom – sincere, curious and warm.
Finally, a group photo was taken in front of the old Kneip farm – a place steeped in history and with a bright future. At the end of 2027, the CST and a children’s housing group from the CANE service will find their new home here.
A warm visit that will be remembered – especially by the children! A big thank you also to the Grand Duchess for her interest and commitment!
The Kautenbach CST was set up to care for children with educational and socio-emotional problems. These children receive an adapted school education. The emphasis is on individual monitoring of pupils, with the aim of reintegrating them into their local primary school.
