The CNVV is strengthening its support services with a national helpline and 24/7 opening hours.

27 April 2026

Starting in May 2026, the National Centre for Victims of Violence (CNVV) will significantly improve its accessibility by providing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This development is accompanied by a reinforcement of teams, including social workers, nurses, and psychologists, to ensure immediate care, even in emergency situations.

The CNVV is also launching a national helpline available at all times, offering listening, information, and guidance to victims of violence. The team will receive training from SOS Détresse to ensure even more professional and appropriate call handling.

Comprehensive support is further strengthened by maintaining free legal assistance, with a lawyer present weekly, as well as the arrival of Maro, a support dog trained to assist victims, helping to create a sense of safety and calm from the very first contact.

Through these developments, the CNVV reaffirms its commitment: no victim should face violence alone. By enhancing accessibility and expanding its services, the centre is sustainably strengthening the national support system, offering care that is ever more comprehensive, responsive, and humane.
