This weekend is all about safety.
Whether you’re out for a walk, cycling or skiing, playing in the woods, fields or at home, having a relaxing evening or a meal: minor injuries, bumps, knocks and scratches are the order of the day. This makes it all the more important to treat minor injuries correctly, to prevent them and to comfort and bring children home safely. The first part of the training is intensive.
The second part still focuses on safety, but first and foremost in and around the water. ‘Today, we’re going swimming’, an activity that children always enjoy. But water can also be dangerous. We try to be as prepared as possible. Over the course of the day, we’ll be looking at the dangers lurking in the pool and in the sea. What games can you play with children or teenagers in the water? What about clothes? How do you get someone out of the water? We’ll also look at what to do in an emergency.
Because the wrong thing to do is nothing!
This training is given in Luxembourgish. It is necessary to understand and speak this language to take part.
