The Luxembourg Red Cross at the Children’s festival 2025

The weekend of 17 and 18 May 2025 promises to be one of discovery, play and nature. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Children’s Festival, a key event in the Children’s Week, will welcome young and old alike for two emotionally-charged days entirely free of charge.

Among the 56 stands on offer this year, the Luxembourg Red Cross will be on hand with four fun and educational workshops specially designed to arouse children’s curiosity while teaching them about the environment and life-saving techniques.

Our 4 not-to-be-missed workshops:

– Explore nature with all your senses (0-12 years): A sensory immersion in the natural world to awaken the senses and environmental awareness from an early age.
– SOS in the forest – first aid for budding adventurers (7-12 years): Learn life-saving techniques while having fun – an exciting workshop for little explorers.
– Get creative – Express your creativity with natural materials (2-12 years): An artistic and ecological workshop where you can let your imagination run free with elements from nature.
– I keep nature clean – learning to sort while having fun (3-12 years): A game to introduce children to good sorting habits and environmental protection.

These activities are supervised by committed teams from our structures such as the Maisons Relais of Dippach and Erpeldange, the nurseries of Dippach and Schoos, the Structure d’Accueil et d’Education Intégrée in Buschdorf, Hariko, the Youth Red Cross and the LOFT.

This festival is much more than a simple family event: it’s a joyful plunge into the world of non-formal education, as experienced on a daily basis in Red Cross structures. Through play, exploration and creativity, children learn in a different way, in a caring and stimulating environment.
