From April 20 to May 20, 2026, the Luxembourg Red Cross is launching a new edition of Giving Month, its major annual event dedicated to solidarity. Across the country, several hundred volunteers are mobilizing to raise awareness and encourage everyone to support the most vulnerable.
In Luxembourg, poverty is a reality affecting more and more people. In 2024, 20% of the population was at risk of poverty or social exclusion. Behind these figures are thousands of individuals struggling to find housing, afford food, or access healthcare.
Needs continue to grow: in just a few years, attendance at social grocery stores and clothing banks has increased significantly, as has the use of emergency social services.

Reality changes when you give.

Every day, Red Cross teams take action to respond to these situations by providing shelter, meals, support, and access to essential services. This year, the campaign highlights a reality that often remains invisible: the needs that exist even before the Red Cross steps in.
Whether it is homelessness in Luxembourg, support for refugees, or assistance to victims of international crises, such as in Ukraine, every donation helps to concretely transform lives.

Thanks to the generosity of the public, it is possible to act quickly and effectively, both here and elsewhere.
