The keys of the vehicle were officially handed over in front of the headquarters of the Luxembourg Red Cross – the co-founder of Spëndchen, together with Caritas Luxembourg and Aarbechtshëllef asbl. This next generation van was donated by ArcelorMittal Luxembourg to replace the previous one, which was on its last legs. It will be used to supply social grocery shops (Butteker) and deliver food safely and efficiently.
This new vehicle meets the best and latest standards when it comes to its refrigeration component, which is essential to preserve food while transporting it. Since June 2021,and until 2030, you might spot the van criss-crossing the roads of the Grand Duchy, from North to South and East to West, carrying out its mission as official supplier of all the Spëndchen asbl social grocery shops.
