Kids Run: a new event combining first aid, sport and solidarity

13 October 2025

On 30 October, the SEAS in Dippach (Maison Relais) will host the first edition of the Kids Run, a solidarity event where children learn to take care of others and themselves through first aid and sport.

At the Luxembourg Red Cross, we firmly believe that everyone can contribute to protecting those around them. This civic role begins at a very young age, when children learn simple actions that can relieve pain, help others and sometimes even save lives. With the ‘Kids Run’, the Red Cross aims to engage children and young people in the topics of first aid, civic engagement and solidarity.

The children then receive a certificate of participation, recognising their commitment and knowledge.

A sponsored sporting challenge

Children at the SEAS also have the opportunity to take part in a charity sporting challenge, a race in which each lap raises funds for the Luxembourg Red Cross.

This race works on a sponsorship basis: children ask their family, friends and loved ones to sponsor them for each lap they complete. On the day of the race, each participant tries to complete as many laps as possible at their own pace.

Practical information

When? The race will take place on Thursday, 30 October, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where? At the Dippach sports hall (5, rue des Ecoles in Schouweiler, next to SEAS).

How to sponsor runners ?
Sponsors commit to making a donation for each lap run. At the end of the race, the children note the number of laps completed and return to their sponsors to tell them how many laps they have run. Sponsors can then make their donation by multiplying this number by the amount they had promised.

All funds raised will go towards financing our projects for children and young people in Luxembourg.

We would like to congratulate our participants in advance for their commitment to this cause of solidarity from such a young age: little runners, big hearts.
