SHELTER COLLABORATION ON THE AFRICAN CONTINENT

The Shelter Collaboration aims to ensure that communities in the sub-Saharan region can better prepare for dealing with both man-made and natural disasters, including emergency shelter.

Support for 20 National Red Cross National and Red Crescent Societies- Setting up Strategy Workshops in 10 countries – delivering shelter materials to 6 national societies.

The Shelter Research Unit (SRU) is a research unit based in Bertrange, Luxembourg. Its mission is to provide technical support to humanitarian actors in their habitat-related programmes in order to develop appropriate solutions in the event of natural and man-made disasters.
