Following the terrible floods that hit Nepal in 2008, the Luxembourg Red Cross, in partnership with the Nepal Red Cross, established a project to rebuild destroyed homes and restore damaged facilities.

How is your donation used?

By donating to this project, you give victims of the floods not only shelter but also the confidence that their infrastructure will not be swept away by future floods thanks to the funding for sustainable solutions. 

The government of Nepal has charged the Nepal Red Cross’ blood transfusion service with establishing a reliable link between blood donors and patients. However, the coutry’s unstable politics and lack of financial resources represent a challenge to the modernization of transfusion practices and the proper functioning of the system.

How is my donation used?

By donating to the Luxembourg Red Cross, you allow the modernization of the equipment used and the implementation of strict protocols in the storage and treatment of blood products. In Nepal as in Luxembourg, blood donation saves thousands of lives every year. 

The Luxembourg Red Cross conducts international aid operations in several parts of the world. From Africa to Ukraine, through Nepal or even Uruguay, many projects have been launched to help those most in need.

Thanks to your donations and our on-site volunteers, we are able to help thousands of people who, without it, would experience great difficulties in finding decent housing, escaping war or simply surviving.
